Printing failed or the photo has incorrect borders or cropping. What should I do?

Current PrintFun uses visual printer and paper selection followed by guided adjustment. The full photo-paper workflow has six steps; A4 uses four verification steps. During adjustment, select Something is wrong to choose the sheet symptom. If your screen differs, provide the app version.

  1. Check the digital image. If it is already cropped, investigate capture, framing or artwork rather than printer calibration. Do not remove an intentional decorative border as a defect. Physical strip cutting is a separate issue: provide the printer model and paper so that feature can be checked, without treating calibration readings as a universal solution.
  2. If no sheet comes out, check that the printer is on, connected and has paper, then open the system print queue. A pending sheet can still print later: wait or resolve the error and confirm there is no other pending copy before reprinting. For a blank sheet, run the printer’s own test and check ink, ribbon or supplies; do not change calibration readings to fix a blank sheet.
  3. Open Configure printer. The notice explains that automatic printing pauses while settings are open; sheets already sent to the queue can still print. Returning to the dashboard restores the previous pause state. For the full workflow, select Repeat guided calibration: choose the printer card and select Continue, then choose the paper and select Continue. Paper lookup is automatic. Check the dimensions in millimeters and loaded paper even if an option is preselected.
  4. Select Print guide and wait for submission. When I already have the printed guide becomes available, select it only if the sheet is actually in your hands: accepted submission does not confirm physical output. On the sheet, enter the lowest number from 1 to 20 with a complete line and corner turn on each edge. Orient the sheet as illustrated and enter top, bottom, left and right. Do not copy the example number or highest visible reading.
  5. Select Apply adjustment and Print verification. Wait for the sheet and select I already have the printed guide only after receiving it. Check blue reaching the edges, complete arrow tips and visible corner marks; if correct, select Save settings and finish. When reviewing paper during calibration, readings are preserved if printer and size stay the same; changing them requires a new guide.
  6. If the guide or verification has a problem, select Something is wrong and choose the symptom. If the whole first guide is smaller than the sheet, check the paper in PrintFun and the driver; for photo paper, disable shrinking or fit-to-page and select borderless printing if the printer offers it. Reprint the guide. Do not select larger paper or invent readings to compensate.
  7. If no line from 1 to 20 is fully visible on an edge, check paper size and automatic enlargement in the driver and reprint the guide before continuing. Do not guess readings. If verification is enlarged or its marks are cropped, also check that you entered the lowest number with a complete line, not the highest visible number.
  8. White on one edge: check straight paper feeding and that the four readings match their edges. White on two opposite edges: check paper size and orientation and those edge readings. White on all four sides: check paper, shrinking and borderless support before recalibrating. If the image is rotated, check orientation; if it is skewed or the border varies along the sheet, align the paper and tray guides before changing measurements.
  9. For A4, use its verification workflow: choose printer and paper, print verification and inspect the sheet before finishing. The whole image fits within the printable area while preserving proportions; white margins are expected. In saved settings, use Repeat verification. Do not try to remove mandatory margins with borderless calibration.
  10. If adjustment was completed correctly for the printer and paper used and the defect remains, send the AI Assistant a photo of the entire sheet if missing and any printer, paper, version or error details not already provided. Do not keep repeating calibration. Mention an event in progress with a queue so support can assess it, without expecting an immediate-response promise.
